Hello there, we’re Anna and Matthew!  We are grateful for this opportunity to show you a snapshot of our life and thank you for taking a minute to see if we may be the family you’re looking for.  We are thinking of you and hope that you’re receiving all the guidance and support you need to make this decision.

Meet Anna – as told by Matthew

Anna is a fantastic, empathetic and caring person; she goes above and beyond to make people feel heard and feel welcomed. She is such a people-person, always remembering to inquire about family members and maintain relationships. Anna is an excellent, knowledgeable and professional caregiver for children and I know she will be a wonderful mother. Anna is passionate about youth literacy and loves to read, always gifting books to the kids in our lives.

Meet Matthew – as told by Anna

Matthew is calm, kind and thoughtful. He steps in to help whenever he can–a trait that runs deep in the Beckler family. Matthew is organized and keeps so many things in our household running smoothly. He is passionate about his work, his hobbies, his family and his community. Matthew loves to play with our nephews and our friends’ children, getting down on the floor and playing magnatiles or legos or princesses for hours. He is extremely patient and kind, never raising his voice. I can’t wait to see him in the role of parent!

Our Home and Neighborhood

Things we love about our Wenonah neighborhood in South Mpls:

• Lake Nokomis! Swimming at the beach and walk/run/bike trails
• Grabbing a beach-side snack at Painted Turtle
• Close proximity to the library, post office, coffee shops, ice cream and our favorite Mexican restaurant, Grande Sunrise
• Friendly and welcoming neighbors, with many kids on our block
• Elementary school is 1 block away, next school is 6 blocks away

Olivia and Ellie are our 12-year-old cats

They are the sweetest, most gentle cats and they love adults and kids alike. They enjoy snoozing in sunbeams and knocking all their toys under the couch.  We’re big animal lovers, and Anna also volunteers at the local animal shelter as a Cat Cuddler.

We love…

We went to the University of Minnesota and were both in the Marching Band. Go Gophers!

We love to travel! Favorite road trip snacks are Twizzlers and Pringles.

We have a big network of loving friends who can’t wait to be aunties and uncles

We love camping and hiking in the great outdoors, and are working to visit every MN State Park

We love our electric bikes and go on lots of adventures around Minneapolis!

We love Star Wars, musical theater and the Minnesota State Fair. Our must-get foods at Deep Fried Milky Way (Anna) and Duck Bacon Wontons (Matthew)
